Drive-In Theatre Cel Collection
The Disney / Pixar movie CARS drove into Drive-In Theatres in the Spring of 2006. CARS ventured in to many of the nostalgic icons we hold near and dear, including, Route 66, Small towns, Roadside attractions and Drive-In Theatres. Yes, the Drive-In Theatre did have a small role in the movie during the end credits. If you missed it you missed one of the funniest scenes of the movie. In the months that
preceeded the release of CARS we were tempted with trailers from the movie, one of which showed the two main charecters sitting at a Drive-In Theatre. This gave us somewhat a false hope that a major Drive-In scene was to take place "during" the movie. Well, CARS is here and it is one of the hits of the Summer.
The Drive-In Exchange, Ltd. in honor of the Disney / Pixar release of CARS has put together a remarkable Cel Collection saluting the much talked about Drive-In Theatre scene from the movie. The CARS Drive-In Theatre Cel Collection features 2 framed collectibles that are a MUST HAVE for Drive-In Theatre fans. We found the original 35mm Teaser Trailer from CARS which featured the Drive-In Theatre scene from the movie. We selected two images from that scene and created 4" x 6 1/2" photographs struck from the original 35mm scope film. Each
photograph was then framed in a FLOATING frame measuring 9" x 11". This Black wooden frame features 2 panes of glass which the photos are sandwiched in between. The frame also includes a metal stand which will allow you to place your collectible anywhere! Also included in each frame are the Disney and Pixar logos along with the logo from the movie CARS. But that's not all!!!! Each framed collectible will include 4 frames of 35mm film which features the Drive-In Theatre scene from the teaser trailer! Due to the availability of surviving 35mm trailers that featured this scene (several different trailers for CARS were produced but only 1 had the Drive-In Theatre scene in it!) this collectible will only be available while supplies last!
