The origin of this popular drink goes back to the early part of the century. Exactly when and where Chocolate Toddy became a Drive-In favorite remains a mystery, but it did exist. We have seen a number of well produced intermission commercials showing smiling patrons drinking Chocolate Toddy at the drive-in theatre. What we haven't seen are the incredible Toddy cans that they were drinking from. Did the cans exist? No one has any recollection of even drinking this popular drink at their drive-in theatre! The Drive-In Exchange had been on an endless quest to try to find one of these Toddy drinking cans and finally, after years of searching, we found one of them! Though the can wasn't in the greatest shape we were able to obtain all of the information that was on the can. With that accomplished, we redesigned the Toddy label to exact specs. Now what do we do with it?
The Drive-In Exchange decided to reproduce this famous Toddy can in a format that everyone will enjoy! TODDY CAN BANKS! That's right! Our Toddy Banks are a slightly larger 16oz size (compared to the 10 ounce size of the original Toddy can) and have a photo-quality, glossy label wrapped around the can. The can features a metal top and a "dent-free" fiber body. There is a plastic bottom on the bank which will allow you to remove your coins so that you can purchase more Drive-In Exchange goodies! (We had to get that one in!) They are incredible and you won't find an item like this anywhere else! Now you can own a replica of our favorite Drive-In drink!
