Welcome to the NEW website for the former Drive-In Theatre Fan Club! The Drive-In Theatre Fan Club or DITFC began way back in 1992 in the pages of The Drive-In Theatre Journal and continued on up until the end of 2000 when the club officially closed. During those years the Fan Club was primarily responsible for the increased worldwide recognition of the Drive-In Theatre through preservation, protecting and promoting its image. The DITFC and its membership greatly contributed to a number of Drive-In Theatre books and documentaries along with appearing in countless newspaper and trade publications. During its years of operation the DITFC had over 1000 members worldwide with over 750 of those members active. The DITFC published 30 issues of The Drive-In Theatre Fan Club Update and 4 issues of The Drive-In Theatre Journal.

From 2001 'til today we have received countless requests from our former members to bring back the DITFC. They claimed that after the DITFC there has never been another organization like it. They preferred receiving publications in the mail and attending DITFC Drive-In meets. But is the world ready for it today? With the popularity of the internet where all of the information you would desire is only a few keystrokes away, would you still want to belong to an organization dedicated to the Drive-In Theatre? There are positive and negative aspects to both and we want to hear from you!
